More New Updates to Website

I was working on updates to the website again today. I made some progress adding to new pages and connecting links to some of the images on the 'Studio' page. It's still a work in progress. I believe I will be ready to add some free sewing projects in about a week. I just need to finalize the copy and turn it into a .pdf file so it will be easy to print out when you take it to your sewing machine.

Yay! progress is being made!

Buzzing Right Along

Here's a view of some funny flower lapel pins I made.I decided to use these pins as the initial images for my Sew-N-Bee website just because they're fun and cute. I have not made time to sit down and draw out any images for my Bitsie Bee mascot yet. That's something that has been on my mind a lot lately. I think I will need to grab some paper and a pencil and start sketching up ideas. This should help my brain to start working on it. So I am making that one of my tasks for this weekend.

Once I get rolling on a few images my brain should kick into gear and I'll be able to pin it down more to a mascot and logo that will work. I find with the help of a few visuals such as sketches I can walk away from it or awhile and my subconscious mind keeps turning over the idea while I do other things. Then after a bit of being away from it, distracted doing other stuff around the house or the studio, it will just come to me . . . a solution presents itself. I've just got to get the ball rolling on it to start the process.

To side-track a bit, I'm going to be putting in a 'Square Foot Garden' area in the back yard this summer. I picked up this book last fall after seeing a neighbor grow tons of stuff in her square foot garden. She recommended it saying all she did was follow the instructions and it worked just like it says in print. My hubby already started some work to clear the way for it. Perhaps working outside a bit this weekend will give me some time to let this Bitsie Bee logo image jell for awhile.

In the meantime, while I deliberate on the logo idea, these images of my flower pins will stand-in for Bitsie over on the website.

Sew-N-Bee Website Progress

Spring flowers are blooming! Yay! It feels so good to have springtime here again. I was glad to be able to throw the screen doors open wide to let in some fresh air. I love this time of year.

I have been working on websites this week. New pages will be uploaded to my Sew-N-Bee website soon. There are still a few things I need to change before I upload the new pages. Meanwhile, I thought it good to come to this blog to let you in on my progress.

I want to come up with a catchy and clever idea for a new logo for this website. I have a somewhat nebulous idea of how I think it should be, but not firmly set on anything at this point. I'm open to some input. So I'm opening it up for suggestions. If YOU have a unique idea, please let me know. Submit a comment below telling me your thoughts.

Here's what I'm looking for:

1. Logo mascot will obviously be a 'bee' - need input on what YOU think the bee should be doing in the logo image. (such as sewing at a machine? holding up something that she has just sewn? doing some hand sewing? quilting?)

2. Suggest a catchy tag line - you know, a short, clever saying that will become synonymous with 'Sew-N-Bee' and this bee mascot. At this point I think her name will be Bitsie.

Thanks so much for your comments and input. I'll put together a great Thank You gift package if your suggestion is used. There will also be a free Thank You offer for everyone that responds here on this blog. Please leave enough contact info so that I can respond back to you (either in your comment, or via my contact page at the website).

Thanks in advance for your input.
